There have been some minor site updates, but the big to-do right now is the announcement of MoonStripes Mobile! Check out http://mobile.moonstripes.com when you're away from your computer! You can also sign up for SMS updates by texting moonstripes to 66937. These text messages are free of charge, with the exception of whatever your carrier may charge you, of course. I hope you enjoy all the new goodies! Please let me know if you have any trouble with them! Sunspots should FINALLY be available for pre-order by mid-month, as all formatting issues seem to have been officially resolved.

Scheduled Maintenance

Recent Libel Against Amanda/MoonStripes

As you may or may not know, MoonStripes has a MySpace account, as well as a community on LiveJournal, and a group on Facebook (pretty much for promotional purposes).

As you also may or may not know, I recently left an abusive relationship.

On the morning of March 18th, I received a friend request from someone with the username "Stop Animal Abuse." Me being me (aka actively against animal abuse), I opened the profile to view it (I screen all profiles for spam content). What I discovered was not what I expected to see.

To make a long story short and not so terribly public, the content (consisting of two profiles) was created by my ex (and/or agents thereof), and made accusations against me as an animal abuser, along with other juvenile insults to my character/appearance/etc. In addition, links to MoonStripes/MoonStripes profile pages/My deviantART account were posted.

To state the obvious, I have not, do not, and will not abuse animals. The profiles have been reported to MySpace, and I am awaiting their deletion. Legal actions have also been taken in order to attempt to deter any further behavior such as this.

If you have been friended by either of these profiles, I encourage you to report them, and either deny their friend request or delete them from your list. In addition, please contact me (privately) if you see any other content around the web such as this.

I apologize to those of you who have been subject to this asininity.

Late again! Sorry guys! Between things happening with my grandmother and everything else that's going on (I'm also in the process of moving, job hunting, redecorating a room, etc.) I've been pressed for time. I'm still working, though! And once things are settled, hopefully we'll see a great increase around here! My soon-to-be living situation will be a great change for me; the environment will be less stressful, I will have a designated art room (Okay, it's a corner of the attic, however, it's better than a desk in a bedroom!), and a few other creature comforts. I have a job interview on Thursday, so that will really set the pace for me as far as what I will be able to accomplish in a week (once things are settled in).
At any rate, please bear with me and if you are not already a mailing list member, join up so you can be the first to get word of new updates! Today's plans changed at the last minute, so I gotta run!

Sorry for the late update! Whew, what a month! Sunspots' release is a bit too dependant on outside conflicts to have a set release date just now. However, mailing list members will still receive their special offer when pre-ordering is available!
Also, there has been an update in the Written Work section! A short story I'd written no too long ago (entitled "Strength") is now posted in the - you guessed it - Short Stories section of the site!
The MoonStripes Store has gotten a bit of a boost on the Prints and Originals pages; they're a bit more pleasing to the eye now.
One last update; you will now find that Ida Larsen has joined the artists on my Links page; go visit her!


Update on the Hiatus

My grandmother is doing better; things are still critical, but she is now out of ICU and in her own room at the hospital. I have a few new things to upload to the site and so forth, but it will probably be another couple of days until I can do so. I'm working on a new release date for Sunspots as well. I hope to have everything ready on Friday the 16th. Thank you all for your support, patience, and understanding!


Temporary Hiatus

My apologies to everyone for the lack of updates; you may also have noticed that Sunspots' pre-order availability is no longer in the store. For personal reasons, MoonStripes will be on hiatus until further notice. I expect to be back to a regular schedule by the end of next week, so please bare with me. My grandmother has been in ICU for the last few days and when I've not been at the hospital I've been trying to catch up on my sleep. Check back periodically for new updates (mailing list members will receive mail when the hiatus is lifted).
Please note that during the hiatus, items from the store are still available, but please give me a few extra days to ship your order. Custom orders and commission requests will be queued in order of their request, and I will begin working on them as soon as I am able.

Sorry for the temporary abandonment; I've been awfully sick these past 5 days or so. I think I'm over it now, thankfully! If you take a gander to the right of your screen, you'll see that I've added quite a few projects! The poetry book (so called for it's current lack of title) will probably be the first thing available. Once I have a definite price, I will put up an order form! This could be taken care of as early as Friday, so check back soon!

Just wanted to link to my latest endeavor. :P
The Internet Garage, for now, is just a plain-Jayne of a page, but it's exactly what the title suggests: an internet garage sale.
I was in the process of getting some old stuff onto Ebay to clear up some space, give use to the useless, and make a few extra bucks. But at the low rates I'm selling things, Ebay would rob me blind by the time I was done!
So, I created my own alternative! Right now I have a few horse-y items for sale, some CDs, and Johnny Depp. No, really. :P
